Battle of the Books Reading List

Battle of the Books is a voluntary reading incentive program for students in grades 3-6 that Manila participated in for the first time in 2011-2012 and we will be doing it again in 2012-2013. It was such a fun and successful program! Interested students will be part of a team of 4 or 5 students. Each team will read as many books as possible from the book list for their grade. In March, teams come together for a game-show-style competition tournament where they will work as a team to answer questions about the books from the list. There are 20 books on each grade level list. Students do not have to read every book on the list, but the more they read, the better chance of winning they will have. Summer time is a great time to get started on those book lists!!!
